Methods are step by step instructions a user follows to create a Task. A method enables you to reproducibly perform procedures. Once a procedure is performed it is saved as a Task. In LabLog the record of a performed method is known as a Task. Although tasks can define a wide range of activities in the lab they usually refer to experiments, and in LabLog the tasks and experiments are exchangeable. Records of mental activities such as ideas can also be recorded as tasks for later follow up or intellectual property protection.
