Nowadays, PCR is a common technique used for both research and diagnostic purposes. Scientists from all walks of life appreciate tools that make everyday tasks easier. The PCR calculator option is integrated into the method and task modules. You can use it on the spot for a quick calculation and/or import it into the task or method to capture the work performed or provide details for the protocol at hand.
Follow these simple steps to utilize the PCR calculator:
1. In either the method or task module, click on the Tools option in the right-hand corner, then click on PCR Calculator.

2. Enter the number of reactions, magnesium concentration, primer amount, and template amount accordingly in order to obtain all necessary qualities for your PCR master mix.

3. Then, you can insert the table directly into your method to provide instruction and/or directly to the task module as evidence of performance.
The PCR calculator allows you to omit ingredients if needed or add extra rare ingredients such as DMSO. It's a useful feature included in LabLog to make life easier for the Scientist.
