Perhaps you have several procedures that you want to add to LabLog that existed prior to having the software or you received a protocol from a collaborator who doesn't have the software; therefore, the sharing capabilities within LabLog. You can import the file to initiate the creation of a method within the software. Follow these steps to import a word file:
1. In the left-hand corner, click on the drop-down arrow next to the + New Method option, then click Import Word Document.

2. Find the file or files you want to import as separate methods. Here are the options of where your files can be stored in order to import into LabLog.

Keep in mind that formatting may not transfer and steps may need editing once the import is complete.
Additionally, once you have a method created, you are able to import multiple file types directly to the method itself. This can be done by clicking the Tools option on the right-hand side.

Attaching a file to an existing method, on the other hand, is beneficial if you have files that reference the method which could include, but not limited to: images, raw data, notes, publications, etc... Follow these steps to attach a file to an existing method:
1. In the right-hand corner, click on the drop-down arrow next to the Attach File option, then find your file accordingly. Note: If you want to attach a file from your computer, use the Bulk Upload option. The file/s you want to upload must be in a Zip file.

For the best organization, reference each attachment accordingly within the method step that it relates to. This will not only help you but will assist others in the future when reviewing and/or performing the method.
