Steps in LabLog are the building blocks of Methods (protocols) and Tasks (experiments). Steps allow you to build a protocol or record an experiment in the lab while following an ordered list of activities or instructions.
Steps in Methods
In LabLog, methods consist of a set of procedural instructions. When a lab member wants to perform an experiment they can follow the steps laid out in a method.
A step in a Method can be either an Instructional step or a Data Entry Step. Instructional steps allow the operator to consecutively follow the instructions in the protocol while performing an experiment. On the other hand, a "data entry step" allows the operator to record their observations and results.
